All garage doors installed by Edwards/Mooney & Moses are factory ordered. Lead time for custom door is approximately 2-4weeks.
Free estimates for garage doors and operators can be completed verbally or from plans. Free site measure to confirm measurements of the door must be completed before the door is ordered. Site measure may determine a change from any previous estimate. Proposals after site measure may be withdrawn if not accepted within 30 days. Proposals must be signed and submitted before any materials are ordered.
For garage door installation, all openings need to be framed properly. If proper framing is not complete, then contractor should inform Edwards/Mooney & Moses to reschedule the install. If the opening is not finished and ready for vinyl stop molding, and remains unfinished by the time of the operator install the contactor will be responsible for the installation of the supplied vinyl stop molding or will be charged a service fee for a return trip to install. Contractor is responsible for moving any items interfering with the work area. Work area is defined as the height of the door plus two feet and the total width of the door inside the garage. Our installers are not responsible for moving any items in the garage to create a work area. Our installers are NOT allowed to perform any work or physically be in the vicinity (within 5 ft) of vertically stacked unsecured drywall. If unsecured drywall is present, our installers will leave the site and your job will be rescheduled. Contractor is responsible for painting trim and/or door to color match if so desired. Edwards/Mooney & Moses is not responsible to color match door or trim after ordering and installation. Edwards/Mooney & Moses will apply touch up paint when necessary, install appropriate safety and service door stickers, and inspect door upon finishing to make sure door is operating correctly.
For opener installation, the electric outlet on the ceiling must be installed, functioning properly and, within reach of the supplied 4’ electrical cord. Low voltage wire must be installed by electrician if contractor wants wiring concealed under drywall. If electric is not complete, then contractor should inform Edwards/Mooney & Moses to reschedule the install. Contractor is responsible for installing light bulbs. If any of the above requirements are not met and the contractor fails to inform us prior to install additional charges may be incurred. Edwards/Mooney & Moses will program the remotes, disable locks when there is permanent power, extend J arm when applicable, lube door and operator, run low voltage wiring on exterior of the drywall if not completed by electrician, adjust spring tension and/or track settings on door to operate properly and add operator plates when applicable.
Any damage done to garage door or operator after install is subject to inspection to determine an additional charge.
